Tarom Air Travel Insurance - 2021 Review
Tarom Air Travel Insurance
It doesn’t matter what we do for a living, where we live or who we are, when we book flights, we want to know we have saved time and money.
Most people these days will use a flight comparison site to find the very best flight deal, but when you get to the purchase page, you will normally be offered one single choice of either the airline's or the travel site's own trip insurance.
Tarom Air Travel Insurance – Value
You won’t be surprised to learn that in most instances, when we are only offered one choice of something, it isn’t necessarily going to be the best. It probably won’t be the best price or the best cover for the money. The advice from AARDY is to shop around. Do the same thing as you did when you found your flights, and use a Travel Insurance Marketplace like AARDY. It will take you less than two minutes and you could save hundreds of dollars.
Here’s a real example. This a Tarom Air flight from JFK to London on December 16th, returning on December 23rd, through a comparison site.
The flight cost is $6,346 but you will see that you are also being offered trip insurance for $412.
If we run the exact same quote, covering the exact same value of trip on AARDY, our cheapest comparable travel insurance product is just $240 for the iTravel Insured Travel Lite product.
Tarom Air Travel Insurance – Cover
This gives much better cover than the Tarom Air product. Tarom Air has just $20k of medical cover - ours has $100k. Tarom Air has just $100,000 of medical evacuation cover. Ours has $250k, plus our plan is $150 cheaper.
So, the advice from AARDY is - before you buy your trip or travel insurance through Tarom Air, shop around to find the right travel insurance plan for your needs.
Tarom Air Travel Insurance - Travel Hack
If you want to save even more money on your flights than you did by going through a comparison site, try the AARDY Flight Hack.
We have a whole article on this great travel tip on our website, but here’s the short version:
Never buy a refundable ticket again. Buy a non-refundable ticket and get yourself travel insurance with a cancel for any reason benefit from AARDY. You will get virtually the same flexibility plus a whole bunch of other coverage thrown in. Plus, you will save literally hundreds of dollars on your flights.
